Dr. Danalyn Hypolite

Dr. Danalyn Hypolite is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, and a third-generation public educator. She has earned a B.S. in Physics from Xavier University of Louisiana, an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Trinity Washington University, and an Ed.D. in Executive Leadership from The University of Holy Cross.

Over the last 20 years, Dr. Hypolite has served her community as a middle and high school teacher, a charter school principal, as well as both a district and state charter authorizer. In 2017, Dr. Hypolite joined the Portfolio Innovation and Accountability team at NOLA Public Schools, where her team successfully transitioned 78 charter schools back to local governance from the state, and created the district’s Charter School Accountability Framework. Most recently, Dr. Hypolite has served as the Deputy Assistant Superintendent of Equity, Inclusion and Opportunities at the Louisiana Department of Education, where she has supervised the team that conducted oversight and accountability of Louisiana’s 50, state-authorized charter schools.

Most recently, Dr. Hypolite served as Senior Director of Leadership Development at BES Inc. where she has coached fellows in various regions across the country including, Texas, Tennessee, Georgia, and South Carolina to successfully have their charter petitions approved. Dr. Hypolite has also designed BES’ Community Co Design Fellowship which is a two year fellowship where participants spend the first year immersed into the community they intend to launch and serve in- build a strategic community engagement plan, a Community Co Design team, and gathering and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data from the community to inform the design of their community-driven charter school petition which takes place in the second year of the fellowship.

Leaning on her love for leadership development and her skills in strategic thinking/planning, in 2021, Dr. Hypolite founded and launched D. Elise Innovative Consulting LLC., an education management firm. Dr Hypolite launched her firm to support charter school leaders with strategic planning, leadership coaching and development as well as program evaluation, design, and redesign. As the principal consultant, Dr. Hypolite has supported various organizations across the country with each of the areas her firm supports.
